Teacher's Day Special
( Teachers Day ) It was my humble request to the God, please just keep me forever where the light is! And my prayer brought the result in bringing many friends and relatives who themselves are shining glories. Dr Manjushree Sardeshpande is one of them. It was 1991 when I was learning in B.Ed college. It was the first day of the college and it was the moment of love at first sight for Miss Manjushree Buty. ( Teachers Day ) Today as the nation is celebrating National Teachers Day, it will be a valuable reading which explains her journey. Adding to this, today is the day when Manjushree is receiving Best Teacher Award by Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University.
( Teachers Day ) When I took admission there, there were two classes: one for Marathi medium and other for English medium. I had lot of respect for all the students who were in English medium class because I always failed to speak and learn English. ( Teachers Day )  One face I still remember how it enticed me with her broad forehead, face having reflection of intelligence & serenity and her ever smiling composed behaviour. But I never spoke to her in fear of speaking in English. ( Teachers Day ) That enchanting lady was Manjushree Buty.
( Teachers Day ) The days pass quickly, I completed my M.A. in English literature and joined the community of Manjushree madam. Her credits are par excellence. I am proud to be a particle in a deep and wide span of her life. Initially she worked as a Junior College teacher in New English High School while I was also appointed as a junior college teacher in Vidarbha Buniyadi High School Junior College. ( Teachers Day )  But her speed of achievements was accelerated in every realm of life but she never lost her composure of nature. She upgraded herself as a PhD holder and was promoted to Senior College as a lecturer. Assistant professor, professor, principal, these are just milestones in her life to reach the excellence. ( Teachers Day ) Getting award of Ideal Teacher by Nagpur University on the occasion of Teacher's Day on 5th September 2022. This award is another feather in her cap.
( Teachers Day ) I am very much happy that the Award is given to the most deserving persona Dr. Manjushree Sardeshpande. Because I have seen her journey through while chiselling herself as a teacher, as a professor, as a missionary in the field of English literature, as a PhD guide. ( Teachers Day ) She has won numberless awards, has been invited in many National- International conferences, has been chief host of many educational conferences & seminars. She is appointed as the All India Vice-President of Vidya Bharati, Uchcha Shiksha Sansthan. Gaining this Prestigious status, she marked her different footprint with the help of her own sacred efforts. There is no Godfather for her to lift her character up in the academic arena. ( Teachers Day )  But it was SHE only, who elevated her position in all the areas of her interest.
Dr. Manjushree was my PhD guide. ( Teachers Day ) Under her supervision I won the doctorate. The period between 2014 to 2019 was very critical period of my life since I had been fighting against my ill-health: arthritis, migraine, body ache etc. ( Teachers Day ) Dr. Manjushree kept me bucking up. She never allowed me to lose my confidence rather appreciated my Fighting Spirit. Many times my health issues troubled me to the extent to give up that PhD mission, but I could complete it only because of moral support of Dr. Manjushree. ( Teachers Day ) She is the perfect exemplar of how should be the character of PhD guide.
( Teachers Day ) Whenever I think of her character I remember the quote of Michel de Montaigne, which perfectly suits to Dr. Manjushree's character building, "To compose our character is our duty, not to compose books, and to win, not battles and provinces, but order and tranquility in our conduct. ( Teachers Day ) Our great and glorious masterpiece is to live appropriately. All other things, ruling, hoarding, building, are only little appendages and props, at most." ( Teachers Day ) That is the spirit of Dr. Manjushree which always kept her feet on the ground even after the grand success.
