Gifts...When I go to tie Rakhi on the wrist of my brother, he curiously peeps into the box which is brought for him. He is big enough to earn money and buy whatever he likes. But gifts are not only material but an Outlook- to look out the heart behind the gift.

In that sense today is an Immortal gift which we got as an opportunity to live life to its fathom. Because not everyone who went to sleep last night woke up this morning. The very fact you did, some force about still thinks you are worthy of another Today.
I profoundly discerned the fact, when my husband underwent the angioplasty. Doctor called me and my son to see the patient after angioplasty, everything seemed to get back to normal. We were happy.
But after 15 or 20 minutes there was an another call for me by the doctor to give me all a big shock.
"He is unconscious", he uttered calmly.
"what, who, how?, it was my heart throbbing cry.
"Don't know why, must be a brain stroke"
" Will he be back?" I asked.
"Until and unless he returns to consciousness, nothing can be told", he replied.
I was dumbfounded. There was another call after 20 to 25 minutes to tell,
"he has shaken his leg, there is a hope now."
And the news came, he is back to life ! Moment of ecstasy!
After this incident I uttered, "Today is felicitous gift. Realise, misemploying the gift is misemploying the giver."
Today is the first day of your rest of the life. So draw a line to your past, believe your yesterday was over yesterday and press your button into your future. Today is auspicious since it does not charge about the flaws of your past nor is it disturbed by uncertainties of tomorrow! It is a day in itself and opportunity in itself and the segment of life by itself.
Buddha enlightens your Today and inspire to care of one's life, "Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful."
